N.B: For insurance purposes and for Fitness Australia registration it is a now requirement that all Personal Trainers and Group Exercise Instructors be accredited by completing an accredited boxing course if they incorporate boxing training


Instructional workshop

Learn how to teach real boxing skills from a qualified & Professional Boxer & Boxing Trainer

This course enables trainers whom have completed the course to give a far more skill based boxing lesson to their clients. The course also incorporates some aerobic & anaerobic focus mitt drills for the trainer to be able to immediately employ, vary & develop as their clients need dictate.

Course Outline
8 Hours Duration
2 hours is dedicated to the teaching & understanding of a boxing stance, guard, footwork & rotation.

2 hours is focused on understanding, performing & teaching correct punching technique.

Punches includes a jab, cross, hook, uppercut, body rip & a bollo (overhand).


2 hours is focused on understanding, performing & teaching correct defensive technique.

Defence includes slipping, weaving, catch (parry), double arm catch & palm/shoulder catch.

Final 2 hours is focused on the correct use of focus mitts & will include several focus mitt drills.


Course Outcome

Instructors having sucessfully completed the course will now be able to correctly perform & teach a total of 15 boxing skills. A correct boxing stance, how to punch correctly including a jab, cross, hook, uppercut, body rip & a bollo. They will also be able to demonstrate & instruct effective slipping, weaving, catch (parry), double arm catch & palm/shoulder catch.

Each instructor will be required to demonstrate all of the above techniques in a practical assessment
